Cheryl Cole's new boyfriend is planning a birthday party for her.

The 'Crazy Stupid Love' hitmaker will turn 31 next Monday (30.06.14) and her French lover Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini is eager to help her celebrate in style by throwing a lavish bash for her over the weekend.

The 33-year-old restaurant owner is hoping to reserve new celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse in west London for the exclusive party, which will be catered by his own eatery, Cosy Box.

Guests are expected to include 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell and Cheryl's closest friends, her former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Cheryl knows there's going to be a party, but doesn't know all the details yet.

''But she's excited and has already invited her friends along, including Simon Cowell and former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.''

Cheryl can't wait to celebrate her 31st birthday with her new man, but it seems the star is hoping for a simpler affair than her raucous getaway to Las Vegas for her 30th birthday last year.

The insider added: ''The best thing about this birthday for Cheryl is that she'll have Jean-Bernard on her arm for the whole weekend.

''She's excited to show him off to her nearest and dearest. However, she doesn't want it to be as boozy as her 30th was last year.''
