The Stunt Duo Who Doubled For Charlize Theron And Tom Hardy In Mad Max: Fury Road Have Wed After Finding Love On The Set.
New Zealand native Dayna Porter and South African Dane Grant met in the Namib Desert in Africa in May 2012, when they were hired among the top stunt stars for the post-apocalyptic film.
They fell in love and have since welcomed a son, who is now 14 months old - and now they've exchanged vows.
Grant tells U.K. publication The Telegraph their constant fighting and roughhousing sparked the chemistry between them, stating, "I remember that first day meeting her in the stunt rehearsal gym. She stood out for all the right reasons. Every time we get to work together is a blast, but none more so than the initial fight rehearsal.
"In the film it's the first time Max meets Furiosa (Theron's character) and they fight it out with a sequence that the fight choreographer had us training non-stop for weeks."
He continues, "Dayna and I had a lot in common with those two characters, meeting for the first time, learning to trust each other under stressful conditions, pretty much just get on with what you're supposed to while on a mission through the desert with a bunch of weirdly dressed post-apocalyptic characters everywhere you look."
