We already knew Charlie Sheen has a pretty hefty bank balance, though it appears he also has a charitable side to go with it. It has emerged that the former Two and a Half Men star paid off Lindsay Lohan's massive tax bill: just like that.
According to sources who spoke with TMZ.com, Lindsay and Charlie became good friends on the set of Scary Movie 5 in September and began spending more and more time with each other. During this period, Lohan had mentioned her on-going tax problems, which were said to be mounting by the day. The IRS was going after the actress in a big way, though Sheen wasn't having any of it. Despite Lindsay's initial reluctance to accept, he wrote out a check for $100,000 which immediately wiped the bill. She originally owed around $244,904, though thanks to Sheen's bumper one off payment, that number was almost cut in half with no questions asked.
After a pretty successful year (Scary Movie 5, Liz and Dick, The Canyons, Playboy), Lohan is set to earn over $2 million, though let's just hope she has a decent accountant by now. Then again, there's always Charlie Sheen.
