Charlie Sheen's 'Two and a Half Men' character is set to be hit by a Paris subway train and die.

The storyline does not involve actor - who was fired from the sitcom earlier this year for his erratic behaviour and subsequently replaced by Ashton Kutcher - but the news will be told of his namesake alter-ego's death on the programme after he fled to the French capital with Rose (Melanie Lynskey) to get married.

In the season premiere of 'Two and a Half Men' - which stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones - on Monday (19.09.11) it was revealed Rose pushes Charlie in front of the train after catching him with another woman.

She says: "His body just exploded like a balloon full of meat."

The new episode began with a funeral scene which sees Jon's character Alan Harper, Charlie's onscreen brother, explain it is a sad day for everyone - but one woman replies: "Speak for yourself".

Ashton later enters the programme as internet billionaire Walden Schmidt and tells Alan he's going to purchase Charlie's old home.
