Isn’t it just heartwarming when celebrities have each other’s backs? Note, however, that the actor deftly avoided the subject of his own exit from the project. At the time, his casting and that of co-star Dakota Johnson was met with widespread backlash from Fifty Shades fans, who thought that Hunnam in particular was not an appropriate choice to portray the dominant, but emotionally vulnerable Christian Grey. Fans got what they wanted – more or less – with the casting of former Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan. And all was well in the land of erotic fiction - until the premiere, at least.
