Starring Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey and Chadwick Boseman as Jackie Robinson, 42 tells the story of two men’s brave stand against prejudice, which forever changed the game of baseball. The New York Times described it as: “An inspiring, old-school biopic that doesn't pull any punches in depicting the ugly racism that Jackie Robinson faced on a daily basis as the first African-American player in Major League Baseball."

Robinson's story is a fascinating one. By signing and playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, he became the first African American since the 1880's, and disturbed a culture of segregation that had been rife in the game. He wasn't just a cultural pioneer; his sporting career was formidable, too. He played in six World Series, and was selected for six All Star games, an achievement for any baseball player, let alone one with the problems he faced.
