Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are reportedly seeking counselling in an attempt to save their 17-year marriage, with the 'Red 2' actress doing all she can to keep their family together.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are reportedly in counselling to attempt to save their relationship.
The couple announced earlier this week they are taking a break from their 13-year marriage, but it is said the 'Red 2' actress wants to do all she can to make things work.
According to reports in the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper, Catherine has admitted to friends she would do ''everything in my power'' to keep their family - which includes their children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10 - together.
It has also been said the couple are seeking help through counselling, which has been described as the star's ''last throw of the dice.''
A source said: ''Catherine has already spoken with a marriage guidance expert who now wants to see them individually and together.
''She is painfully aware this could be the last throw of the dice.''
However, Michael has apparently ''rattled'' his wife by suggesting it may be ''too late'' to save their marriage.
Another insider added: ''Despite the fact they are not together, they have been talking.
''Michael also believes counselling is worth a shot. But he rattled her by saying it might be too little too late.''
