The Elizabeth star and her husband Andrew Upton are planning to leave their home in Sydney and relocate to Los Angeles early next year (16) along with their three young sons and newly-adopted baby daughter.

However, Blanchett is adamant the move will not be permanent because she is determined to make sure her kids grow up Down Under.

She tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "We will definitely come back because the schooling here is what we want our boys and our girl to experience. This (Australia) is our home... It's really just to see what's out there. To put our head above the parapet and look around over there... We've got this sort of window to have a look overseas."
