The 44-year-old actress, who is nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Woody Allen's 'Blue Jasmine' at the ceremony on March 2, flew into LAX today (09.02.14) to attend the prestigious event, but was still in a sombre mood as she walked through the airport, according to the MailOnline website.
Cate cancelled a string of promotional appearances last week so she could support the 'Capote' star's estranged partner, Mimi O'Donnell, and attend his funeral in New York City on Friday (07.02.14).
A spokesperson for the Australian star previously said that her team made the decision to postpone interviews on 'Good Morning America' and 'Live! With Kelly and Michael' to promote 'The Monuments Men,' ''to allow Cate the time and privacy to grieve the loss of her friend Philip Seymour Hoffman.''
