Cate Blanchett has not seen the script for 'The Hobbit' and is unsure what her character Galadriel will be doing in the film.
Cate Blanchett has not yet read a script for 'The Hobbit'.
The Australian actress has signed up to appear as ethereal character Galadriel in the 'Lord Of The Rings' prequel - which recently began shooting in New Zealand - but she does not know how big her role will be or what it is she will be doing.
She revealed to Collider.com: "Obviously Galadriel is only a small part of the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, but it was probably the best three weeks I ever had.
"I haven't seen a script yet, so I don't know what I'll be doing. Obviously Galadriel doesn't factor very strongly in 'The Hobbit'. I think it's in the middle of the year that it is happening."
Nearly all of the stars of the original 'Lord of the Rings' movies have signed up to star in Peter Jackson's forthcoming fantasy movie, although Liv Tyler recently revealed she was one of the few who won't be returning.
She said: "I haven't heard from anybody and that makes me kind of sad."
