The 'I Really Like You' hitmaker has admitted she loves to purchase tea cups on her travels - however, it isn't just tea that she serves in them.

Carly told the Daily Star newspaper: ''I have a tea cup collection. I sound like an eight-year-old. I just like the look of them. I serve cocktails and whisky in them too. It's like my thing.''

The 29-year-old singer, who has the same manager as pop star Justin Bieber, also opened up about her pal's recent return to good graces.

The seemingly reformed bad boy has enjoyed chart success in recent months while managing to keep himself out of the tabloids for mischievous exploits.

Carly enthused: ''Justin's a great guy. I love his new music. It is pretty radical and I'm pumped for him at the moment.''

While she's happy to comment on Justin, the 'Run Away with Me' singer isn't interested in wading into one of pop's biggest feuds: Katy Perry versus Taylor Swift.

Asked which team she'd be on, Carly responded: ''I can't answer that one.''
