Cara Delevingne thinks true love is ''one of the most important things''.

The 22-year-old actress has lavished praise on her girlfriend St. Vincent - whose real name is Annie Clark - saying she's a major source of inspiration in her life.

Asked how she is influenced by her lover, Cara explained: ''Love is inspiring. True love comes in every form, whether it's what you do or whether you love yourself.

''True love is one of the most important things. It's what makes the world go 'round.''

Cara's comments come shortly after she moved to deny suggestions that her sexuality was nothing more than ''a phase''.

The British star refuted speculation her current relationship will be the only time she is with a woman and insisted she is comfortable with who she is.

Cara said: ''My sexuality is not a phase. I am who I am.''

What's more, Cara claimed she is a better actress because of her relationship.

She said: ''Being in love helps, you know? If you're in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It's like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you're looking in another actor's face.''
