Cara Delevingne is a ''hopeless romantic''.

The bisexual model-turned-actress - who's currently dating musician St. Vincent - has revealed she's made a series of romantic gestures during her love life, but has never been the beneficiary of one herself.

She shared: ''I'm a hopeless romantic. I've done some outwardly romantic gestures. I've written songs for people, serenaded people with poems.

''I think it's always better to wait until someone does it to you. Because, to be honest, I don't think someone's done something super romantic for me.''

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old star - who's recently made the transition from the catwalk runway to the movie industry - revealed she's received some invaluable career advice from her 'London Fields' co-star Billy Bob Thornton.

Cara, whose film credits also include 'Paper Towns' and the comic book movie 'Suicide Squad', told BBC Radio 1: ''Billy Bob Thornton said something really clever to me when I was doing a film with him. I was really worried about going to drama school, but he said that if you have natural talent, life is the only experience that's going to help you there.

''You can't teach a bad actor to act, you can only make a good actor worse.''
