Actress Brittany Murphy rushed out and dyed her hair blonde after having vivid dreams about the hair transformation.

The brunette suddenly changed her look in 2004, before returning to her natural colour.

She explains, "Superficial as it sounds, I had two dreams that I was blonde so after the second one I took a cab straight to the salon and told them to dye it.

"I figured the dreams were trying to tell me something, so I went for it."
