Britney Spears got a shock on ‘The ELLEN DEGENERES Show’ on Tuesday (September 11th 2012) when her light-hearted request to learn the ‘Gangnam Style’ dance on Twitter came true.
The popstar recently posted a link to the YouTube video of the song by South Korean musician Psy on Twitter with the caption: ‘I am LOVING this video - so fun! Thinking that I should possibly learn the choreography. Anybody wanna teach me?! haha’. Ellen DeGeneres reminded her of this when she appeared alongside fellow US ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell on her show before showing a brief clip of the video and then bringing out Psy himself, real name Jae-Sang Park, to teach them the odd dance moves which he even described as ‘cheesy’.
The ‘Gangnam Style’ video first went up in July and has so far received over 151 million views and even made an appearance on MTV’s Video Music Awards. It has proved a hit everywhere with Times Square in New York becoming full of fans learning the ‘horse dance’. Following her appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show, Spears Tweeted: ‘LOL, thank u psy_oppa for the surprise dance lesson yesterday… TheEllenShow was going off Gangnam Style!’ alongside a link showing the ‘lesson’ where she appears to skipping rather awkwardly in a tight-fitting dress and high heels.
