Britney Spears is hard at work following up on her 2013 album Britney Jean and she has asked her good friend Nicki Minaj to collaborate with her.

HollywoodLife.com has reported that the former touring partners are joining forces for a new single and a new video.

Nicki appeared on a dance remix of Britney’s ‘Til The World’s End in 2011 - the same year the two toured together, but now Nicki is more established and could feature more prominently in their next collaboration.

A source told the website: "Britney has reached out to Nicki and has sent her tracks to see if she would like to do a verse or rap on any of her music.

"It is between two or three songs right now that Britney wants Nicki to be on. They just have to mutually select the perfect one for a future single and video."

Britney has been playing Las Vegas residency for a number of years and put out her last single in a collaboration with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea in 2015 with Pretty Girls.

However, that didn’t go too well and led to a feud between the two after Iggy accused Britney of not promoting their song enough.

Let’s hope Britney’s new collaborator doesn’t do anything to annoy the Queen of Pop.
