Britney Spears reportedly wants to take back control of her life and finances.
The 32-year-old star, who was placed under her father Jamie Spears' care via a conservatorship after suffering a breakdown six years ago, wants more access to her $220 million fortune.
A source told Life & Style magazine: ''She has very little access to her money. So she is finally making the necessary steps to dissolve the conservatorship. And Jamie isn't happy about it at all.
''Britney is tired of having to get permission to live her life and spend money. She feels like she's already proven that she's been healthy for a long time.''
The blonde beauty is also ready to take a break from the spotlight.
The source said: ''She knows she's in a better place in her life. She's ready to quit for a while and have a normal life.''
But Britney is not looking to take a break from love as the star, who recently split from her boyfriend David Lucado, admitted she is looking forward to dating again.
She said: ''The best thing about your boyfriend cheating on you is that you get to go on another first date.''
