Britney Spears has reportedly split from Charlie Ebersol.

The pair had been dating for eight months before calling it quits and the 'Piece of Me' hitmaker is believed to have deleted all photos of her former lover off her Instagram account, Us Weekly magazine reports.

The news will come as a shock to many as Britney previously revealed things were going well between the pair.

She said: ''I'm the happiest I've ever been. I'm in a real good place. I'm very blessed.''

The 33-year-old singer also revealed the producer had forged a strong bond with her two children, Sean Preston, nine, and Jayden, eight.

She said: ''They relate to him really well and they have fun together.

''He's refreshing to be around and really light-hearted.''

The former couple were also believed to be discussing having children together and getting married.

A source said: ''Britney has said that Charlie wants to have children of his own and thinks that she would be the perfect mother for them.''

Whilst another added at the time: '''They've been moving closer at light speed, and when Charlie suggested to Jamie that he ask for Britney's hand in marriage, Jamie [Britney's father] quickly said yes.''
