Britney Spears has said she isn’t particularly interested in dating, describing it as “silly” and “about games” in a new British TV interview with Jonathan Ross.

The 34 year old pop queen, currently on the comeback trail with Glory, her first album in three years, reportedly discussed her love life in an interview with Ross due to be broadcast on Saturday (October 1st), according to an article by People magazine.

“A lot of men are about games… The calling back and the texting, it's just too much. It's silly,” Britney told the 55 year old host about the hassles of courtship. She also finds that dating can often be difficult, given her enormous fame.

“I have a friend at home and he randomly sets me up with people every now and then on dates… It's just awkward because there's so many times that you meet people and it's just too awkward and you just don't feel right. The dating thing and meeting other people, it's hard.”

Britney has two children, 11 year old Jayden James and 10 year old Sean Preston, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. She’s not been reported to be in a relationship since she dumped her ex-boyfriend of 18 months, David Lucado, in late 2014.

“I like someone that's just nice overall – just a nice guy is really ground-breaking in this world,” she continued, before asserting that she was fine being single. “I'm not looking for men right now. I'm really happy with myself. I'm not looking for anything, I'm fine with the way I am.”

The singer has been in London performing at the Roundhouse in Camden as part of the Apple Music Festival this week. Her mammoth Las Vegas residency, ‘Piece of Me’, continues at Planet Hollywood later this year.
