Britney Spears has decided to announce her upcoming Vegas appearances in the middle of the desert at 4am. The event will see Spears performing her new single 'Work Bitch' and discussing the details of her contract with Planet Hollywood.

It seems the broadcast on Good Morning America will be an opportunity for Spears to perform her new single whilst spending a small fortune and forcing over a thousand people out of their beds in the middle of the night.

According to TMZ, the singer is sending the majority of the 1350 participants needed for the show by bus into the Mojave Desert to perform at her announcement event. Spears will arrive by helicopter - naturally. If all this wasn't strange enough, Spears has stipulated that all participants must be between 5 and 6 feet tall. Although few other details are currently known of the event, Spears promised fans on Twitter "You definitely aren't going to want to miss this."

Figures wise, to any sensible human being, it's a ridiculous exploit. The transport costs alone are in the region of $27000. However, such meagre sums of money are nothing compared to the vast amounts Spears will be raking in over the next two years. Spears during her appearances in Vegas will be making $15 million a year. As the 31-year-old singer is contracted to appear 48 times a year, she will be raking in approximately $310000 per show.
