Britney Spears has a new album coming out soon, and on top of that she will begin a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas this December, so there was plenty to speak to the pop princess when E! sat down with her over the weekend. The star also gave her opinion on everyone's favourite topic of discussion; Miley Cyrus, who Britney said was "a cool girl."

Britney is back!

"My manager [Larry Rudolph] is her manager and she's been working on her album lately and I've been working on an album, so we hit the studio together a lot, and she's a cool girl," Britney said of Cyrus. The two will team up on Cyrus' new album, Bangerz, on the single 'SMS,' as they continue their ongoing personal and professional relationship. Most recently, the two hooked up at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend, where Brit introduced the 'Wrecking Ball' singer to the stage.

When the subject came to her own new material, Brit revealed that although she is happy with the audio, when it came to recording the video for her new single, 'Work Bitch,' she felt as though she'd been thrust out of her comfort zone. In the sexy new video, reminiscent of some of her earlier, pre-motherhood music video, Brit bumps and grinds along to the new anthem, but admitted that it was a routine she had gotten out of and one that felt strange to return to.

"My choreographer actually, when I was doing the rehearsals for this video, he was like, 'Britney, you are not a sweet mommy in this video. You are nasty bitch mommy in this video,'" she said in the interview. "When you start to feel the charcter, you start to feel silly, 'cause you're like, 'This isn't me, I'm not like all like this, moving all sexually and stuff like that, so as 'mommy' you feel really awkward doing that, [but] once you get out there and the camera starts rolling, you just kind of feel it out and you do it. But when I watch playbacks sometimes, I'm like, 'Who do I think I am?! Who the hell do I think I am?!'"

Brit will start a two year residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas this December, and when the topic of discussion turned to her upcoming shows the singer said that it was something she was really looking forward to. Saying that she plans on using Vegas as a "second home" rather than setting up full-time residency in Sin City, the singer continued, "It seemed like the ideal job to me because I felt like when I was on tour, I'm in a different bed every night...It felt kind of ideal to be set in one place."

Britney will begin her Vegas residency, titled 'Britney: Piece of Me,' in December this year, with tickets available through the Planet Hollywood website. Her still-untitled new album, her eighth in total, is scheduled to be released on 3 December.

The singer doesn't want to move to Vegas full-time, probably for the sake of her kids
