Britney Spears has won over Charlie Ebersol's mother.

Susan Saint James - who reportedly disapproved of the TV producer's relationship with the 33-year-old singer when they first started dating - is now in regular contact with the 'Toxic' hitmaker after bonding with her and her two sons, Sean, nine, and Jayden, eight, over the festive season.

A source said: ''She spent it with her boys and Charlie at his home in Telluride, Colorado. His dad was totally cool with Charlie dating Britney, but initially his mom hated the idea. She really did not approve of Charlie dating a celebrity.''

However the blonde beauty slowly proved to Susan that she is the right girl for her son.

The insider told Life & Style magazine: ''She's really proven herself at being a great girlfriend and now his mom loves that they are together. Britney and Charlie's mom text each other all the time.

''Charlie's mom was impressed with how good Charlie is with Britney's sons. They are like one big happy family.''

Meanwhile, the singer's family also approve of her relationship with Charlie.

A source previously said: ''He does well financially and is very private.

''They don't have to worry about whether he is using Britney.''
