Britney Spears has convinced the judge in charge of her conservatorship that she can handle the stresses of a Las Vegas residency and is ''excited'' to launch her nightly show.
Britney Spears is ''excited'' to take up a musical residency in Las Vegas.
The 'Ooh La La' singer reportedly met with Los Angeles judge Reva Goetz - who is in charge of the conservatorship she was placed under in 2008 after her public meltdown - on Monday (15.07.13) to discuss the terms of her multimillion dollar deal with Planet Hollywood and it was determined that she can handle a rigorous nightly performance.
During the meeting, the judge was said to be ''impressed'' by the 31-year-old star's demeanour and Britney is now expected to sign a deal imminently to launch her musical revue, according to RadarOnline.com.
Britney reportedly told the judge ''how excited she was to be performing in Las Vegas'' while Judge Goetz ''was impressed with how happy and excited Britney was''.
A source added: ''Britney assured Goetz she could handle the stress and felt comfortable with the performance schedule. Britney won't be moving to Las Vegas permanently; she'll perform for several weeks in a row and then have time off.''
Former 'X Factor' USA panel member Britney is set to ink her deal with Planet Hollywood's parent company, Caesars Entertainment, next week for an unspecified stint in Vegas, which will launch later this year.
An insider claimed: ''The plan is for Britney to begin the shows around New Years Eve with a huge concert on the last night of the year. Rehearsals are already under way for the gigs and Britney is heavily involved in the choreography.
''Expect Britney to appear at a press conference in Las Vegas and announce further details about the concerts. It's a very exciting time in Britney's life and she has never been better.''
The 'Hold It Against Me' hitmaker - who has sons Sean Preston, seven, and six-year-old Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline - was said to be at the centre of a bidding war between several Vegas hotels earlier this year, with many top chains hoping to land her services for a residency.
Britney will follow in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Sir Elton John by launching her own nightly show in the US gambling capital.
