Britney Spears has ''comedy chops''.

The 'Piece of Me' hitmaker guest-starred on 'Jane the Virgin' and the television show's lead actress Gina Rodriguez has revealed the star did a great job.

She said: ''Incredible! Incredible woman, super sweet, super kind. She loves the show, that's how [it] actually ended up happening.

''She definitely got comedy chops like nobody's business, and to go head-to-head with Jaime [Camil] is like, the ultimate challenge for a comedic actress because he's so incredible. She held her own and more. She was very, very good!''

And the 31-year-old actress admits she's always been a huge fan of the 33-year-old singer.

Speaking on HuffPost Live, she said: ''Britney Spears was my pop star! I remember just being 16 and wishing I was Britney.

''I get to dance with her! I won't tell you how or what capacity, but I got to dance with her! I'm just a better person because of it. There's a lot of my childhood that was complete yesterday.''

Meanwhile, the Golden Globe Award winner recently revealed the show's boss kept Britney's guest appearance secret from her in fear she would spill the beans.

She said: ''I don't know anything. Jennie [Snyder, series creator] doesn't tell me anything, because she knows I would tell you guys everything.''
