Veteran British rocker Brian May has been discharged from hospital after undergoing knee replacement surgery last week (begs05Aug13).

The Queen icon went under the knife on Tuesday (06Aug13) to fix a chronic problem which has plagued him for some time, and he is now continuing his recovery in the comfort of his own home after leaving the medical centre on Friday (09Aug13).

However, the 66 year old admits it could be some time before he is fully back on his feet.

Taking to his Twitter.com page on Sunday (11Aug13), he writes, "Hi Folks... I'm home, continuing knee recovery. It takes patience, but I'm so glad I went for the replacement."
