The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has confirmed he has begun work on his second solo album which will serve as a follow-up to 2010's 'Flamingo'.
Brandon Flowers is working on a new solo album.
The Killers frontman is preparing his second record, which will follow 2010's 'Flamingo', and hopes to have new music ready to release in 2015.
He told NME magazine: ''The record's not done yet, but I'm excited about it. I'm liking it.''
The 33-year-old star went on to reveal his new album won't be inspired by his home town of Las Vegas, which was the central theme on his solo debut.
He said: ''I'm trying to sort of stay away from that, but I've always got one foot planted there, so it's hard. People are going to interpret it how they will, but there's only a little bit of Vegas in there.''
Brandon has enlisted the help of Ariel Rechtshaid - who has previously produced tracks for Haim and The Weeknd - for the record and says the pair have hit it off despite a rocky start.
He explained: ''He's taking me out of my comfort zone. Normally I make demos and they're pretty similar to how the songs end up. But he'll take the song and be like, 'I hear this.'
''It's incredible - his palette and his range, what he's able to say. He'll try other ways of doing things and that's something I've never really done.
''At first we were butting our heads together, but now we're hitting it off. We're on a roll now.''
