Brad Pitt treated Angelina Jolie to an intimate birthday meal in Paris last night (03.06.13).
To celebrate the actress turning 38 today (04.06.13), her husband whisked her off to high-end restaurant Il Vino - which is run by Enrico Bernardo, the youngest ever winner of the World's Best Sommelier award - after attending the premiere of his latest film 'World War Z' at the nearby Normandie Theatre in the French capital.
Yen Goel, who was dining with her husband at the eatery, told People: ''It was very subtle, real cool. They came in very unobtrusively. It was real fast. They walked by, and I said to my husband, 'I think I just saw Brad and Angelina walk by us.' And he said, 'I think you may have had one glass of wine too many already!' ''
The couple enjoyed fresh langoustines and quenched their thirst on a fine French wine, and for dessert Angelina was presented with a cake to mark her special day.
After their romantic meal, Brad, 49, and Angelina headed to Silencio nightclub - a hotspot designed by film director David Lynch - for a travel party with the actor's co-stars.
The brunette beauty is joining her spouse - with whom she has children, Maddox, 11, Pax, nine, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - as he promotes his new movie, marking her first public appearances since her May announcement that she'd recently undergone double mastectomy surgery.
Brad revealed how ''proud'' he is of his wife for making the brave decision to have the operation to reduce her risk of getting breast cancer after she was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation.
He said: ''I was so proud of her before. It's absolutely who she is and she's always been - when faced with a problem, she's going to take it head on. And then she'll make it her own, and find out what her options are, and make the smartest decision for her, and then she's going to share that knowledge with whoever will listen.''
