Last time Brad Pitt said something like this he had to apologize profusely to his former wife Jennifer Aniston, so it will be interesting to see how she reacts to the news that the actor decided to make a serious change when he was still with the former Friends star and apparently taking too many drugs. "For a long time I thought I did too much damage - drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter" he said, describing himself as "a guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years f***ing off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity."

"It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany - a decision not to squander my opportunities," The Mirror reports Pitt telling the print magazine Esquire. "It was a feeling of get up. Because otherwise, what's the point?" he added. Pitt was alluding to his drug overuse that he has already previously admitted. In fact, Pitt has been pretty uncomplimentary about his previous marriage before. In 2011, he told Parade magazine that he spent much of the nineties "sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."

Brad Pitt’s make-up artist Jean Black has also had something to say about it: "I think Brad was ready to soar when he met Angie," she says, "This is not to say anything negative about Jennifer. I was part of that and I know that he and Jen are very good friends and he cared deeply for her. In Angie he saw a very adventurous person who was grabbing onto life and taking it to it's nth degree. It was intriguing as I felt Brad had that in him and wanted to unleash it." Cripes, Jennifer’s really getting a mauling here.
