The Culture Club star announced on the 'Today' show on Thursday (December 8th 2016) that he won't be returning to the UK program next year, and will instead go down under for the Oz edition of 'The Voice' in 2017. He did, however, confess that he's 'the worst person to give advice'.

'For a few years they had approached me several times, but it wasn't the right time,' Boy George said on the show. 'But having done it in the UK, I feel really ready to go now because I understand what the show is.' The 55-year-old eighties icon will join Delta Goodrem and previously confirmed co-mentor Seal, who is back after a three year hiatus, as well as a fourth coach who is yet to be announced for season six.

He will return to London, UK on December 14th for a performance at the SSE Arena. On Monday, he performed a set at the 6th Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTAs).

'I am super excited to be doing The Voice in Australia, because I know they can take a bit of banter and I won't be holding back', Boy George added. 'The UK season was a warm-up and I am ready to sprinkle some pop-tastic glitter dust all over the show.'
