Bobby Brown's DUI arrest may well be a blessing in disguise, after the New Edition singer admitted he was considering rehabilitation to fix his drink problem. Friends of the star told TMZ.com that Brown has finally snapped out of his denial and realized he has a major problem.

Though Bobby has been through the rehabilitation process before, he didn't take it particularly seriously and never truly believed he was an alcohol abuser. Now, after his latest arrest, Brown is said to be "extremely embarrassed" and understands that alcohol has become a huge problem. A source says he us "strongly considering" checking back into rehabilitation though is yet to make a firm decision. Friends unsurprisingly support the idea though don't want to push the treatment on him: it will only be effective if Bobby enters rehab of his own accord.

Bobby was arrested at 1am on Wednesday after being pulled over after driving erratically. It's his latest DUI charge after being convicted for the same offense in 1996. In theory, he faces up to two years in jail, though is unlikely to end up behind bars.
