Ailing Bobbi Kristina Brown Has Been Slapped With A Lawsuit By A Georgia Man Who Claims He Was Injured In A Car Crash Three Days Before Her Near-drowning Incident In January (15).
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only daughter, 22, was found face down and unresponsive in a bath tub at the Georgia home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon. She has been in a medically-induced coma ever since and is now clinging onto life in a Duluth hospice.
But that fact hasn't stopped Russell Eckerman of Marietta from deciding to go forward with a legal battle against her, after filing suit in Fulton County Supreme Court on Friday (26Jun15).
In the legal documents, obtained by local newspaper Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Eckerman claims Brown was speeding on 27 January (15), when she lost control of her own Jeep, which subsequently swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with his Ford Taurus.
According to the New York Daily News, police investigators determined Brown's right rear tyre blew out and that caused the accident.
In his papers, Eckerman claims his vehicle incurred "extensive damage", while he suffered "serious personal injury", and he is seeking $730,000 (£456,250) in medical bills and damages.
Eckerman has also named Bobbi Kristina's guardians, her father Bobby and aunt Pat Houston, and conservator Bedelia Hargrove in the suit, as well as executives at the Ford Motor Company, alleging the airbag on his Taurus did not deploy properly and the seat belt was defective.
