The country superstars announced on Monday (20Jul15) that they had decided to end their four-year marriage, after managing to keep the news of their break-up and divorce filing a secret for weeks.

The union was officially declared over by an Oklahoma judge hours after the press release, but on Friday (24Jul15), the singers proved they were at least still on speaking terms as they promoted mutual friend Ashley Monroe's new project on Twitter.com.

Reaching out to his now ex-wife, Shelton wrote, "Hey @mirandalambert can u believe there's people who haven't bought @ashleymonroe new album? Isn't that shocking?!!"

Lambert quickly responded, "@blakeshelton no I can't because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! We love you @ashleymonroe", to which Shelton replied, "Yes we do!"

The stars then poked fun at rumours suggesting disagreements about having children contributed to their marriage split, with Lambert sharing a photograph of Shelton pushing a friend's baby's stroller, which had been taken by a paparazzo on Thursday (23Jul15).

She joked, "I knew it.... You WERE pregnant! This calls for a drink!"

Fun-loving Shelton then quipped, "Ha!!!!! Busted... I wasn't JUST a fat a**. Drinking shall now begin..."

The couple had been together for six years before tying the knot in 2011.
