Blake Shelton and ex-wife Miranda Lambert traded jokes on Twitter just days after their divorce was finalised, sparking rumours of a reconciliation.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert enjoyed a playful exchange on Twitter today (24.07.15).
The former couple, whose divorced was finalised in Oklahoma earlier this week just hours after they confirmed their split after four years of marriage, have sparked rumours of a reconciliation after trading jokes online and voicing their support for mutual friend Ashley Monroe's new album.
The 'Voice' USA mentor, 39, kicked off the surprising conversation, tweeting: ''Hey @mirandalambert can u believe there's people who haven't bought @ashleymonroe new album? Isn't that shocking?!!''
The 31-year-old singer quickly replied: ''@blakeshelton no I can't because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! We love you @ashleymonroe''
He retweeted her message before replying: ''Yes we do!!''
A suspicious fan suggested the messages were written and pre-scheduled before their recent split, but Blake instantly responded: ''Nope... Not at all buddy.''
Miranda then changed the course of their dialogue entirely by sharing a photograph of her ex-husband pushing a stroller and joking: ''@blakeshelton I knew it.... You WERE pregnant! This calls for a drink!''
Blake hinted they were already in the same place together, replying: ''Ha!!!!! Busted... I wasn't JUST a fat a**. Drinking shall now begin...''
When another fan admitted she was ''losing respect because of this whole charade,'' the country music star fired back: ''Well rest assured not one s**t is given.''
The duo announced their split on Monday (20.07.15) amid allegations of cheating on both sides and their divorce was finalised quickly as they had a prenuptial agreement in place.
In a joint statement, they admitted: ''This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.''
