5. Gossip Girl

The last season of Gossip Girl in 2012 was so exhausting, Lively took a year off afterwards. As she explained in the interview, she was working constantly and her life existed in the short gaps between takes. She said, "I just needed time to regenerate. And when you're working fifteen-hour days, ten months a year, the only time you have for real life is between takes. So you're not really acting anymore. You're reciting."

4. Her Wedding & Martha Stewart

Lively and Reynold's wedding in 2012 was going to be a "disaster" before Martha Stewart stepped in and took over. Lively cites Stewart as one of her inspirations and described her as "generous and kind". She explained how "Our wedding was becoming a disaster, and we didn't know what to do, so we called Martha! She said, 'Don't worry. I'll handle it.'"

3. Prostitutes

Since appearing in 2010's The Town and then in 2012's Savages, Lively has been type cast in possibly the most bizarre and opposite role - a prostitute! Lively said "You do a movie [The Town] to change the way people think about you, and then they never see you any other way. It didn't help matters that I followed it up with Savages and another sexually charged, drug-addled young woman."

She's looking forward to kids with Ryan Reynolds. She's definitely thinking about the 37-year-old in the long term and has faith in his ability as a future father. Lively said, "He's going to be a great father and leader and patriarch-he's so meant to be all of those things. The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he's the exact realized person that he should be."

1. Her Wedding Dress

Apparently during Florence Welch's performance at her wedding, sparklers were used for dramatic effect and her dress was badly burnt. But Reynolds took an optimistic approach, explaining to his new wife, "'You'll always remember that moment with Florence singing and the sparklers. You have that forever, right there, preserved.'" She added "Now that's my favourite part of the dress."
