Vanity Fair played host to a roomful of merry movie stars after last night's Oscars.
Hollywood was out in full force for one of last night's biggest and most glamorous Oscars after-parties, hosted by Vanity Fair. After the star-studded ceremony had taken place, guests flocked to the annual party and its new specially designed setting at 8680 Sunset Boulevard, built under the direction of architect Basil Walter, according to the magazine.

Guests were greeted with cocktails and music as they arrived at the V.F. editor Graydon Carter-hosted event. A steady procession of movie star A-listers filed into the party to celebrate their wins, congratulate each other and try out a little bit of dancing. It was an evening of merriment and friendship, even between former lovers.

The Hobbit star Orlando Bloom bumped into his ex, the Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr, as she was giving a televised interview. Bloom spotted his estranged wife as she was reporters. After asking how their son Flynn was doing, he kissed her cheek and told her "you look amazing." The model, who was wearing a cascading glittery dress, was visibly bashful after the encounter and the pair looked genuinely pleased to see each other.

As the night wore on and more cocktails had been drank, a select number of stars decided to try their hand at karaoke. Lost In Translation star Bill Murray was the life of the party, coercing Lupita Nyong'o on to the mic to sing The Isley Brothers classic, 'Shout,' together.

The 63 year-old actor also organised a dance-off to Rod Stewart's 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' with actress Rosario Dawson and director Spike Lee, according to Metro. Murray wasn't the only actor who was feeling musical at the VF party: Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch reportedly rocked up at the bash singing Pharrell Williams' Despicable Me track 'Happy.'

Among the many other stars in attendance were Reese Witherspoon who turned heads in a daringly low-cut Jason Wu for Hugo boss gown, a heavily pregnant Scandal star, Kerry Washington, a rather tipsy-looking Adrien Brody and the glacial duo of Lady Gaga in white and Donatella Versace in black.
