Let’s hope he’ll be in a better mood than Frank Cross.
Doesn’t it seem like there’s never a normal, run of the mill story about Bill Murray? He's always either crashing someone’s party, dishing out advice to strangers or being honoured with his very own 'day'. But as an actor, Murray is still able to get us very giddy, all he needs to do is announce an exciting new work project. Case in point: this 'Christmas TV special'.
Bill Murray always manages to surprise us
Yes when you think of Bill Murray at Christmas time you probably have a vision of him in Scrooged, saying ‘bah humbug’ to it all. But this Christmas Murray looks set to show an altogether different side of himself, the side which apparently sings classic carols.
Speaking to Variety, Murray said that he intends to star in a Christmas special for TV where he’ll be performing some classic Christmas tunes.
But wait, it gets better, as not only are we getting Murray singing, but Sofia Coppola will be directing!

"It’s not going to be live,” Murray told the magazine. "We’re going to do it like a little movie. It won’t have a format, but it’s going to have music. It will have texture,” he added.
“It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose, it will have a patina style and wit to it. It will be nice.”

As unexpected as it all might sound, Coppola later confirmed the project to Variety, saying “We’re working on a Christmas special, not sure when it will air, but my motivation is to hear him singing my song requests.”
We seriously can't wait.
