Model Beverly Johnson's Publishers Only Agreed To Include Her Alleged Sex Encounter With Comedian Bill Cosby In Her New Memoir At The Eleventh Hour After The Ageless Beauty Opened Up To Vanity Fair.
A whole chapter of The Face That Changed It All is dedicated to her relationship with the comedian and the time she turned down his reported sexual advances, claiming the 77 year old drugged her at his home in the 1980s during an audition for The Cosby Show - but it only made the cut at the last minute because her lawyers were nervous about tackling the allegations.
The veteran supermodel, who is one of more than 50 women who have come forward with claims against the funnyman accusing him of sexual abuse and indecent behaviour in alleged incidents that occurred decades ago, admits her decision to open up about the drama to Vanity Fair coupled with all the other women pointing the finger at Cosby made the lawyers change their minds.
She says, "When I decided to do my memoirs, I decided to tell it like it is... and so this was my big reveal in 2013. When we handed the chapter in, they said, 'Listen, this is not gonna pass legal; this is a legal liability', so they did not want it in the book.
"We were closing the book and I did the Vanity Fair piece and these courageous women came out, and they said, 'We'd like to put the chapter in the book'."
Cosby's attorney has dismissed Johnson's claims against the comedian.
