Producers are said to be certain that the singer's star power could bring millions more fans to the franchise, especially if she was to pair with current female stars Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen. The Avenger’s next instalment will be Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, which are scheduled for release in 2018 and 2019, while spin-off films also in the works.

A senior executive at distributor Disney told the Daily Star, “We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters.”

The roles bosses are said to be considering for Bey include that of, Boom-Boom, who is the alter-ego of Tabitha Smith, a secret agent with the ability to create lethal plasma bombs with her mind. Blink, who can teleport herself and others anywhere. Tigra, a cat-like crime-fighter with superhuman strength, speed and agility and Hawkeye, an expert in combat, including sword fighting, archery and jujitsu.
