Beyonce cycled to her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour concert on Monday (05.08.13)

The 'Love on Top' hitmaker decided to shun her usual chauffeured journey by riding a bike to her last performance at the Barclays Centre in New York.

She wrote on her Instagram page: ''I biked to Barclays for my last show in Brooklyn!''

The star made the 3.5 mile journey from the Tribeca home she shares with rapper husband Jay-Z to the arena for her last stop in the city.

Meanwhile it seems her mode of transport isn't the only way the 31-year-old singer is staying grounded - as she and her husband Jay-Z recently treated all of their 80 employees to a huge bonus.

Workers on her tour - and at the couple's three homes - were given over $45,000 each to thank them for their efforts.

A source is quoted by site Perez Hilton as saying: ''[Jay is] spreading the wealth around and everyone is blown away... Nobody got left out.

''A lot of them couldn't believe it and phoned his personal assistant to check that there hadn't been some mistake.''

Ever the professional, Beyonce continued to impress last month when she continued to sing despite her hair being sucked into an electric fan on stage during a performance of 'Halo'.
