British Dance Star Jon Hopkins Has Been Recruited To Score Benedict Cumberbatch's Upcoming Performance In Classic Shakespearean Tragedy Hamlet.
The actor will portray the doomed Danish prince on the London stage from August (15) and Hopkins will help to provide the soundtrack for the play.
Announcing the news on Twitter.com on Friday (03Apr15), the Open Eye Signal hitmaker writes, "Doing the music for Benedict Cumberbatch's Hamlet at the Barbican this summer".
It is not yet clear if the DJ/producer will pre-record the music or if he will perform the score live.
The new production of Hamlet will be directed by Lyndsey Turner and run from 5 August to 31 October (15).
