The author also gave her reaction to Ben Affleck’s nude scene in the film.
Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn has wet the appetite of fans everywhere, by saying a sequel to the hit book and movie is a possibility, but only if the original cast and crew are involved.
Gillian Flynn might revisit Gone Girl one day in the future.
Speaking at the BAFTA LA Annual Awards Season Tea Party, Flynn told The News, "There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now.”
"We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on — not well I don't think.”

However the author does have one condition for making the sequel, ”I would have to have the exact same people to do it — I would want Rosamund, Ben and Fincher to do it,” Flynn added.
The film was nominated for five Golden Globes awards over the weekend, with Flynn herself losing out on Best Screenplay to Alejandro González Iñárritu, Nicolás Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, Jr and Armando Bo for Birdman.
Fancy seeing the Dunnes 10 years on?
But the author has also weighted in on the subject of Ben Affleck’s manhood, which was seen in the film during a shower scene. "I was all for the cinema realite. He was a total method actor and in playing a man who got in the shower, he played a man who got in the shower,” Flynn said.
“I didn't know exactly how they would film it. I think the screenplay says they get in the shower so I cannot take credit for that,” the author added.
But even if Gone Girl doesn't make it to the big screen for a second time, Flynn still has two adaptations of her work on the way. Later this year Dark Places directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner and starring Charlize Theron, Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult, and Chloe Grace Moretz will hit the big screen.
Also on the way is a television adaptation of her first novel, Sharp Objects, for HBO, which will see Flynn re-team with Gone Girl director David Fincher.
