Affleck was distracted at the red carpet premiere of his new movie 'The Accountant' by a reporter with the baseball on his phone.
He’s one of the most famous movie stars in the world, but Ben Affleck had his mind on other things as he attended the premiere of his latest movie The Accountant this week, holding up the red carpet arrival to watch baseball!
The 44 year old Hollywood A-lister arrived at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday night (October 10th) for the star-studded premiere of his new film, but decided to watch his beloved Boston Red Sox on a reporter’s phone as he made his way down the red carpet.

Affleck is known to be a huge fan of the Red Sox, admitting at one point that he used to place sizeable bets on their games. He remained glued to a reporter’s phone as he watched his team narrowly lose their post-season knockout game 4-3 against the Cleveland Indians.
“I’m gonna have a heart attack,” he can be heard murmuring to himself at one point, in a clip from USA Today reporter Bryan Alexander who also attended the event.

He then managed to compose himself before answering a question from USA Today, who asked him about the game. “I saw the last play. It was very heartbreaking, so close,” he replied, “it was too bad. It just didn't happen.”
