Ashlee Simpson's new boyfriend bonded with her sister during a triple date on Saturday night (02.11.13).

The 29-year-old blonde beauty recently won the seal of approval from her beau Evan Ross' mother, Diana Ross, and it appears she is eager for her own family to feel the same way about the budding actor.

The 'Pieces of Me' hitmaker, who has a four-year-old son, Bronx, with her ex-husband Pete Wentz, looked happy and relaxed as she led Evan to dinner with her sibling Jessica Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, at Mastro's Steakhouse in Los Angeles, according to EOnline.com.

Both couples arrived holding hands and they were later joined by their close friend, CaCee Cobb, and her actor husband, Donald Faison.

Evan recently revealed that his mother ''loves'' Ashlee and brought them both to the premiere of his film, 'CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,' in New York City last month.

An eyewitness at the cinema also confirmed they all looked extremely close.

The source said: ''Diana kept talking over and around Evan to Ashlee laughing and chatting and they seemed very close. Diana and Ashlee seemed to get along so well and Evan and Ashlee held hands while they spoke to Diana before the movie started.''
