While travelling in an SUV in Beverly Hills at about 6:45 p.m., the 39-year-old actress's chuffer skidded on the wet road and smashed into a curb, causing two of the vehicles tires to explode, X17 Online reports.

After leaving the Writer's Guild Theater, Jolie's driver reportedly set off rather quickly, and the impact of the black Escalade hitting the sidewalk was quite furious.

"The car slammed into the curb at a significant speed. Angelina must have wondered if they hit another car," an eye witness said. "It was pretty bad - the tire exploded and its amazing nothing worse happened to the car. I wouldn't be surprised if she has whiplash."

Jolie remained in the car for about 30 minutes until another vehicle came to pick her up. She then quickly exited the backseat of the SUV and entered a white car parked behind, which transported her home.
