Angelina Jolie has been one of Hollywood's leading actresses for many years, and even won as Oscar in 2000, so after achieving all this success it seems the 39 year-old star is looking for a career change in the near future, and once again she is talking about entering the world of politics.

Jolie will only enter politics if she can make a difference

At the start of the month, Jolie revealed to Vanity Fair about that she "is open" to embarking on a career as a politician, but could her latest revelation mean she is turning her back on Hollywood for good?

As she is already known for her dedicated work as a humanitarian, including co-founding the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative PVSI, an organisation aiming to fight against sexual abuse around the world, Jolie recently admitted to ITV News she may make a permanent career switch if she "felt I could make a difference."

"I don't know what that means or where that will lead me but I want to be effective," explained Jolie, who was named an honorary Dame in June. "I want to help to make change."

With her vast charitable work around the globe, the 'Maleficent' actress, who is already a United Nations special envoy, would be an ideal spokesperson for fighting against issues that are destroying poorer nations.

"We have overall a failing of international leadership when we have 51 million people displaced from conflict, more people displaced than since after World War II, when we have completely open-ended conflicts, when we have crises like Syria," she said. "We seem to be completely unable to handle it and make ground and help all of the people who are starving and dying at the moment...I think clearly if you look around the world you can say that we simply are not doing enough."
