Jolie spoke to 'Good Morning America's George Stephanopolous on Tuesday about her career, and where things were regarding her split from Brad Pitt.
Their divorce and custody battle made for some of the biggest celeb news headlines of 2016, but Angelina Jolie nevertheless believes that Brad Pitt is still a good father.
The 41 year old actor and director spoke to ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ on Tuesday (February 21st) about her upcoming professional projects, but host George Stephanopolous also enquired about the state of play regarding the ongoing divorce proceedings, and whether her family life was indeed ‘healthier’ post-split, as she had intimated a few days before.
“We are focusing on the health of our family, and so we will be stronger when we come out of this because that's what we're determined to do as a family,” Jolie said.

Their custody battle regarding their six children – Maddox (15), Pax (13), Zahara (12), Shiloh (10) and eight year old twins Knox and Vivienne – got off to a rancorous start, but both parties have agreed to keep details of this aspect of their divorce out of the papers. Jolie said that, despite the separation, Pitt was still a great dad.
“Of course, of course,” she answered when the host asked if she still thought he was a good parent. “We will always be a family. Always.”

Over the last weekend, Jolie opened up about her very public divorce for the first time in an interview with BBC World News.
“I don't want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time,” Jolie said diplomatically. “We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”
Elsewhere on her ‘GMA’ interview, she spoke about a recent viral video that’s being doing the rounds of her and her children eating insects while in Cambodia working on her current Netflix project First They Killed My Father.
“They're used to eating scorpions, especially Shiloh,” she said. “Loves a tarantula, loves a bug. They can eat a bag of crickets like a bag of chips!”
