Amy Winehouse'S second album BACK TO BLACK is set to be Britain's biggest-selling record of the year (07). The troubled star's hit LP, released at the end of 2006, has now sold more than 1.5 million copies in the U.K., achieving five platinum sales awards. The 24-year-old's debut album, Frank, also sold 300,000 copies in the U.K. this year, despite being released in 2003. The news comes as a boost for Winehouse in what has been a bleak year for the singer. She was recently released on police bail after being implicated in the bribery plot for which her husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been jailed. British newcomer Leona Lewis's album Spirit and Mika's Life In Cartoon Motion are the second and third best selling records of the year, with just over a week left to go. Lewis sold 1.27 million copies of her LP in just five weeks, making it the fastest-selling debut in U.K. history. Mika's first album, released in February (07), has just passed the one million sales mark.
