'Amy Winehouse: For You I Was A Flame exhibition', will open ahead of her 30th birthday at Proud Camden.
An exhibition dedicated to Amy Winehouse is opening in London.
'Amy Winehouse: For You I Was A Flame' will open ahead of what would have been the late singer's 30th birthday at Proud Camden gallery, and be held in conjunction with the singer's foundation and family.
The exhibition of artwork and photos will kick off a month of events entitled '#Amy's30' in the borough of Camden, her hometown, celebrating her life and career and the good work achieved in her name.
Amy's brother Alex Winehouse - who recently claimed bulimia contributed to Amy's death from alcohol poisoning in 2011 - is looking forward to seeing the photos on display.
He said: ''We're all very excited about the exhibition at Proud. Amy's fans were absolutely amazing in the wake of her passing, and showed their love and loss in the most fantastic ways. This, along with the photos and graffiti art, shows Amy at her glitzy best, and her most vulnerable, demonstrating the effect she had on her followers. We hope that everyone who comes feels the same way.''
Featuring portraits throughout her life and career, it shines a positive light on the singer, who battled with drug and alcohol addiction.
Works by graffiti artist Mr. Brainwash and Bambi as well as a Gerald Lang piece from the Amy's own collection will feature. For the first time the Winehouse family will donate paintings and drawings, giving fans the opportunity to view both unseen and iconic images of the singer.
'Amy Winehouse: For You I Was A Flame', runs at Proud Camden, London, from September 12 to October 6 2013, for more info visit proud.co.uk
