A hearing initially arranged for Friday (June 17th) about Heard's allegations of domestic violence against Depp has been delayed until August 15th.
A court hearing scheduled for Friday in order to consider domestic violence claims made by Amber Heard against Johnny Depp has been postponed for approximately two months, according to reports.
Depp, 53, was slapped with a temporary restraining order a few days after his estranged 30 year old wife Heard filed for divorce almost a month ago, with Heard having alleged that he had been physically violent towards her during their 15 month marriage.

Images submitted to the court at the time showed Heard with bruising around her face, which she claims were the result of Depp throwing a cellphone at her last month.
However, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Superior Court said that Friday’s hearing – convened to hear the evidence behind the claims of physical abuse – would be postponed and now take place on August 15th and 16th, following a telephone discussion between the judge in the case and Depp and Heard’s lawyers on Thursday (June 16th).

The temporary restraining order against Depp will remain in effect until the date of the hearing, the spokesperson added, according to TMZ. A “status conference” in the case is scheduled for August 2nd, but neither party is expected to attend in person.
Papers that Heard filed on May 23rd, three days after the death of Depp’s mother, cited irreconcilable differences in the relationship. Four days after that, Heard was granted a temporary restraining order against her husband, with court papers citing the following testimony:
“I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him. He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me. I live in fear that Johnny will return... unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally.”
Heard has since dropped her application for temporary spousal support, as she believes it looks like she’s trying to get Depp’s money.
