Amanda Bynes – is she or isn’t she?

Getting evicted that is. Earlier this week, a report claimed that the ex-Nickelodeon girl has left her New York City apartment and is being threatened with eviction. However, according to a newer report by Celebuzz, the star is adamantly denying any such claims. In fact, according to the website, Bynes sent them a text, reading: “I’m not moving. I don’t have a landlord! I don’t rent! I own a condo in NY.”

It does sound a bit iffy that a multi-millionaire would choose to rent, instead of own her own place, but on the other hand, the building’s management has a different story to tell. At least according to TMZ, the Hairspray actress got evicted from the building earlier this month for being a nuisance. Apparently, management had a problem with Bynes’s pot smoking habit, which she has reportedly been indulging “morning, noon and night”, even smoking in the hallways, despite it being a non-smoking building. TMZ also reported that Bynes wasn’t planning to challenge the decision and instead had decided to simply move on quietly.

So who has the right of it in the end? We’ll have to wait and see if she moves out to know for sure, but for now our sympathies lie with the ne’er-do-well actress.
